At Rigpa Hudson Valley, meditation - learning to work with one’s mind – can be an answer to our mental and emotional ills and dis-ease.
When we are distressed, the main result we are looking for is a release, so that we can immediately feel better. Usually, we try to plan how to ‘deal with’ the effects of distress when it returns.
Meditation is not only a way to relieve distress, stress, anxiety, pain, and suffering; with meditation we can explore their causes. Then, we can look at how to remove these causes.
